We love our Ray-Bans, but apart from their trademark wayfarers, the Ray-Ban aviators also have a pretty special place in our hearts with their iconic “tear-drop” shape that’s so versatile it suits almost every kind of face shape.
And to take things up a notch, the brand has launched the limited edition Ray-Ban Aviator Folding Ultra to celebrate its 75th Anniversary.
Imagine being able to fold your aviator shades into half and fitting it into the smallest of clutches. Sounds just about perfect? That’s not just a myth now.
The latest limited edition model features an exclusive folding design (the first for aviators!) dipped in 22 carats of gold and is available in white and yellow gold.
The unique structure means that the model is able to bend while maintaining its shape. There’s a total of eight hinges on the frame allows it to fold at the temple earpieces, along the temple and at the bridge with the temple earpieces bound in genuine leather.
Ray-Ban also introduces the P3 Plus lenses in this range with features like polarizing filters, colour enhancement, anti-reflective coating and water-repellent system all combined to give the best results.
We particularly appreciate the anti-reflective coating which helps reduce the percentage of light reaching the eye, ensuring both comfort together with a sharper image.
With only 7,500 sets worldwide, we think this will make for the perfect Christmas present for Ray-Ban fans. Do get your hands on it before they fly off the shelves!
The Ray-Ban Aviator Folding Ultra is priced at $820 and is available at Optical 88 Premier at ION.
