Benicio Del Toro has been tapped to front Prada’s spring men's advertising campaign.
The Italian luxury brand has enlisted the award-winning actor to promote its men's collection which features sharp iconic tailoring.
Benicio stars alongside Hollywood actors Dane DeHaan, Harvey Keitel and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the campaign images which will be fully released in January next year.
Photographed by David Sims in London on a bare set, the series of portraits are shot in black and white which serves to emphasise the Prada signature sharpness seen in their garments.
The 45-year-old Puerto Rican star stands out in the campaign images thanks to his striking and recognisable chiselled good looks. The shoot boasts an intimate, starkly minimalist mood that contrasts with the strong personality of Benicio, and the other talent chosen to promote Prada's men's line.
This isn't the first time Prada have cast actors instead of models to front their menswear line.
Last season the iconic luxury label used actors Gary Oldman, Garrett Hedlund, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe to promote its fall 2012 campaign as well as in its runway show.
