If you’re looking less than bright eyed and bushy tailed now that you’re back at work after the New Year's break, why not try these tips to perk your skin right up.

Exfoliate
“Regular facial exfoliation is a great complexion-booster,” explains aesthetic surgeon Dr Sach Mohan. “Not only does it clear the skin’s surface of sluggish cells and thereby improve radiance, it also helps to unclog pores and minimise surface imperfections." Try the MyChelle Fruit Enzyme Scrub for an at home cleanse. “It contains fruit enzymes and microbeads to make skin look refreshed and healthy," adds Dr Mohan.

Reduce the red
The real sign of tired skin is redness and inflammation. “Redness in the skin is often caused by irritation and an inflammatory response to chemicals, UV and alcohol,” explains Dr Mohan. Use Redness Neutralizer by Skinceuticals to help reduce inflammation. “The product uses neuropeptides and natural actives to reinforce the skin barrier function and reduce the inflammation that causes the dilation of blood vessels on the surface of the skin,” he explains.

Go brighter
“To add some colour to your tired looking skin, use a brightening primer under your BB cream or foundation,” suggests celebrity make-up artist Armand Beasley. Try Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance. “The pearlised tint will give your face a subtle glow and help hide any imperfections.”

Start spooning
“A tip I use to reduce puffiness around the peepers is to place two spoons in the freezer for ten minutes then place then on your eyes,” explains Armand. “It might sound unpleasantly cold, but actually it’s amazingly soothing and really does reduce that tired puffy look – and it’s a lot cheaper than eye surgery!” he adds.

Mix up your routine
“Skincare is incredibly important to keep you looking radiant and the more tired you are – the more it will show on your face," say Armand. Invest in a serum to really boost your radiance. “Try Merumaya's Iconic Youth Serum,” suggests Armand. It’s packed full of fatigue-fighting ingredients that will really boost luminosity. - ©COVER MEDIA
