Saturday Night Movies at ION Orchard - Prometheus
ION Orchard kick starts its first Saturday Late Night Movies for 2013 with sci-fi thriller, Prometheus. Complete with vivid and stunning visuals, the blockbuster film will be screened on the Orchard Road mall’s giant LED facade. Prometheus is the fifth installment in Ridley Scott’s popular Alien franchise, explaining the origins of the fascinating mythological world of Alien.

Credit Suisse: President’s Young Talents
Inaugurated by SAM in 2001, the President’s Young Talents is Singapore’s premier commissioning exhibition, featuring the island’s most promising artists under the age of 35. Selected by an independent curatorial committee of local art professionals, these artists are mentored through the entire process of art creation, from concept development to exhibition realisation. This year’s exhibition features new commissions from Boo Junfeng, Liao Jiekai, Zaki Razak, Grace Tan, Ryf Zaini and Robert Zhao Renhui.

Credit Suisse: The Collectors Show - Weight of History
The Collectors Show is one of the most anticipated shows on the arts calendar and continues to present compelling contemporary artworks from private collections in Asia. Defying conventional expectations of private art collections as being merely showpieces to be hung on walls, this edition features a spectrum of more than 20 works that show how artists perceive, and re-conceive the multiple facets of history in the Asia-Pacific region.
Curated and independently organised by SAM, Weight of History examines how artists engage with, and evaluate, local traditions and culture, translating them into masterpieces which display the interconnected relationship between past and present in our increasingly globalised societies.

NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park

Gastrogig - Beyond Skin Deep
Coming together to showcase their gastronomic artistry are three tattooed chefs: LeVeL 33’s Jimi Tegerdine, Culina Global Utama’s Raj Abat and Bali-based James Tombleson. The chefs’ tattoos are visual representations of their individuality and are either inspired or are inspirations for their cooking. The inked trio will collaborate on a four course beer pairing dinner which promises to be as creative as their body art work. A one-night only event, limited to 200 guests, satisfies three great passions - great food, beer and music.
