Love is in the air this February, and in Samsung’s case, it’s on the screen too.
The electronics brand has launched a month-long Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE LoveMobile campaign where the public can send in personalised love messages from now until February 28 and stand a chance to win an exclusive customised Mini Stratford.
To kick-start the campaign, Samsung set the record for the Most Number of Personalised Messages Projected on a Screen on Saturday, February 2 by getting more than 1,800 members of the public to create personalised love messages on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE to be projected onto a screen at the Ngee Ann Civic Plaza. Using the S Note app on the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, participants could express their creativity through a combination of words, pictures and sketches.
An adjudicator from the Singapore Book of Records was onsite to endorse the attempt after the 200th love message was projected onto the screen.
Up-and-coming celebrities Kimberly Chia, Jaylee Woo and radio personalities The Muttons were also spotted at the event designing their own entries and egging the crowd on.
The couple behind the most creative submission of the day won an exclusive Valentine’s Day package from Swissotel the Stamford worth $11,000 that included a 12-course set dinner at Jaan, a jewellery set, a one-night stay at the Executive Club Room of the hotel, a couple spa treatment, champagne and a bouquet of 99 roses.
