Spring is all about embracing bold colours that are fresh, strong and attention-grabbing at the same time. Enter Nars’ Spring 2013 collection that is basically a gathering of all our favourite hues.
The collection features a vibrant, ‘90s-esque colour palette that is so dramatic, it threatens to blow your mind with. Shimmering fuchsia, iridescent silver green, vivid cyan - are just some of the shades that are perfect for the modern woman.
One that represents bold style and beauty with a hint of irreverence is model Stella Tennant who was chosen for her confidence and almost cheeky attitude. She showcases the colours through her gorgeous angular features which according to Founder and Creative Director Francois Nars, “her look is unapologetically strong yet feminine – sentiments we try to capture in Nars makeup, which is why she seemed so right for this campaign.”

Mad Mad World, $50
This vivid cyan and parakeet green Duo Eyeshadow is bold with an unexpected eye-popping combination. Use one as a base and the other as a liner or accent and you will get a unique look like no other.
Corcovado, $38
This limited edition 24-karat gold Soft Touch Shadow Pencil gets its name from the mountain where the statue of “Christ the Redeemer” sits atop in Rio de Janeiro. The intense colour pigments are perfect for using as a base, or layering with a powder shadow or even as a liner.
Dressed To Kill, $38
This fuchsia rose Lipstick with gold shimmer is perfect for giving your lips a pop of colour and making a statement. Named after the 1980 erotic crime thriller written and directed by Brian De Palma, it’s as seductive and dangerous as the film.
Bouthan, $50
This limited edition shade has the French name for Bhutan, the South Asian country at the eastern end of the Himalayas. The Duo Eyeshadown features a soft pink tulle and a bright pink with gold shimmer shade that is suitable to be applied wet or dry.
