Carven's Ma Griffe ("My signature") fragrance was created in 1946. Back then, it referred to the green and white striped cotton dress of the same name from Carven's first haute couture collection. Almost 70 years later, the brand has brought its iconic fragrance back into the spotlight by giving it a new design.
Carven didn't want to change the original essence and kept the same notes as the 1946 version. Ma Griffe still has notes of bergamot, lemon and gardenia, enriched with jasmine, sandalwood, rose and ylang-ylang, with base notes of vetiver, musk, Tonka bean and styrax.
Gold threads are woven around the neck of the new rounded perfume bottle. The cap is almost transparent and the bottle is finished off with a satin ribbon. The case is a reminder of the iconic Ma Griffe stripe.
The 2013 version of this eau de parfum will be available from April for €70 (SG$114). – AFP RELAXNEWS
