Add a slick of colour on your lids for a look that will take you from a power lunch to a cocktail dinner.
Mr Benjamin Ruiz, a global makeup artist at Laura Mercier, shows you how to achieve the makeup looks shown on the Jenny Packham Spring 2013 runway. Laura Mercier created the looks for the show that took place in New York during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week last September.

1. Prep your skin for a flawless finish with a moisturising foundation or tinted moisturiser.

2. Spread an eyeshadow primer from your lashline to the brow for smoother eyeshadow application and longer-lasting make-up.

3. Apply a dark ocean blue eyeshadow on your lids, from the lashline to browbone, forming a semi-circle of colour. Smudge the edges of the eyeshadow towards the browbone with a blending brush for a softer look, or leave it as it is for a bolder one.

4. Line your upper lashline with a gel liner in a complementary shade, such as navy blue. For a more dramatic finish, give the liner stroke a winged tip on the outer corners of the eyes. Leave your lower lashline bare, or line it lightly, for a clean look.
Coat lashes with mascara.

5. Finish the look with some nude pink lipstick and a slick of gloss.
