Review: Puffy eyebags and dark circles have always been a problem I’ve had to deal with even as a kid. Over the years, I learned that puffiness in the under-eye area was usually caused either by lack of sleep or hereditary fat deposits, while dark circles were caused by poor circulation in the region. Since there was nothing I could do about my puffy genes, my solution was to mask my unsightly panda eyes with plenty of concealer.
Which is why when I first came across the Sisley Phyto Cernes Éclat concealer, I was impressed by the metal applicator it came with, which is said to work by massaging and draining the eye contour to reduce puffiness. Feeling the cool metal tip on tired eyes is rather soothing, and I noticed a slight reduction in my puffy eyebags after a week of regular use.
I found the brush that was included very helpful for blending the concealer, and more hygienic too. However, while I noticed that my under-eye area was definitely brighter upon application, I didn’t feel like there was sufficient coverage as my dark circles were still pretty visible.
I like how the formula is lightweight and fragrance-free though. It was easy to blend and managed to conceal some of my fine lines without looking creased or leaving a sticky residue. I also liked how my eye contour area felt moisturised upon application and not tight as it does when I use concealers with heavier coverage.
In all, I would say give the Sisley Phyto Cernes Éclat concealer a whirl if you’re looking for a lightweight, moisturising, and easily-blendable concealer that could help with puffiness, but don’t mind slightly sheerer coverage.
