It was the nail hue of choice on the Vera Wang Fall/Winter 13 runway.
And if you’re keen to trial the trend for steely grey nails you’re in luck as there are so many brilliant polishes lining the beauty shelves.
Thanks to US First Lady Michelle Obama, who sported pewter grey fingertips at last year’s Democratic National Convention, nail polish companies have been scrambling to keep up with the demand for cool grey hues.
When the White House confirmed The First Lady was wearing a grey-lilac iridescent shade from Artistic Nail Design, the company was apparently inundated with orders.
"We’ve seen a 90 per cent increase in calls, for this colour alone,” a representative revealed.
