3 concealers to banish bad eyesPuffy skin and dark circles are one of the most common beauty woes suffered by women. While it's tempting to just buy an industrial strength concealer and slap it on, problems can occur. Even some cover-ups which are billed as being especially for the delicate area don't do the job, which is why we've put some to the test.

L'Oréal Paris True Match Touche Magique Concealer: 4.5/5
This comes in six tones, ranging from warm to cool and neutral. The shades have different undertones, so you need to pick the right version to correct your circles. It also promises to help deter attention from fine lines.

This concealer is light and moisturising and definitely helps draw attention away from wrinkles. The tube has a twist bottom and a brush top, through which the product is dispensed. This means occasionally you get too much come out, especially as just a couple of tiny dots are enough to cover even the darkest of circles. Don't be tempted to use more than that or you'll end up with white rings around your eyes. In all a great product which delivers just what it promises.

Benefit erase paste concealer & highlighter: 3/5
This is a slightly lighter product than the company's famed Boi-ing product and comes in three different shades. There is also a small spatula included in the packaging which is supposed to be used to scoop out the concealer before rubbing it on.

The trick with this one is all in the application. The product is quite thick and you need to be careful you don't apply too much, otherwise it will cake and draw attention to the area you want to hide. A fine choice for people with light shadows, but not the best for those who suffer from very dark marks.

Garnier caffeine anti-dark circles 2-in-1 tinted eye roll-on: 4/5
This product promises to reduce puffiness thanks to the metal roller ball, which is refreshing as it's applied. It helps hydrate the skin and does give eyes a little more zing, while the liquid is also tinted meaning dark circles are covered.

This comes in four products and several with different skin tones tested it, all of who could find a match. It's not too thick and is easy to blend into foundation, while adding a little over make-up at the end of the night helps perk up the area before an evening out. The only downside is those with very dark circles might not get full coverage.
