Ever wanted to know how you’d look with a fashion-forward bob?
First things first, you can forget having to lop off those lengthy locks you’ve worked so hard to grow.
In fact, with some nifty pinning and careful styling you can work this season’s demi-bob in about five minutes flat.
In order to rock a pinned demi bob, texture is key. Hair needs to be easy to grip, so make sure your tresses aren’t freshly clean before attempting it.
If your hair is on the silky side, muss it up with a texturising powder or some dry shampoo.
Fancy giving the demi-bob a go? Here are celebrity hair stylist Adam Reed’s tips for creating the effortlessly gorgeous look.
1. Apply some Percy & Reed Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse to damp hair, combing it through from roots to tips. Next, blow-dry the hair to create a really nice volumised texture.
2. Now, back brush the hair into the root area. A good tip when back brushing is to spray your brush with a fixing spray such as Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray. You can also spray the hairspray direct to your fingers before going straight in at the roots underneath. This will add lots of nice volume and texture, which is essential in holding any style.
3. Next, cut a bun ring in half and pop it underneath the back of your hair. It will act as padding for the style and you can then tuck the hair over and underneath the ring, pinning it into place with a geisha pin.
4. Finish the look and smooth down any flyaways with the Quite Frankly Flawless Finishing Polish. - © Cover Media
