Want to nail this season’s make-up trends in one fell swoop?
We caught up with pro make-up artist Lauren Buckley to find out her tips for perfectly pretty spring make-up.
“Spring/Summer 2013 is all about clean skin with a pop of colour,” says Lauren, who has worked her make-up magic backstage at London Fashion Week.
“I love a beautiful bright lip, oranges and pinks are very on trend right now, with glowing skin.
“This look is very modern, wearable and easy to achieve,” adds Lauren.
Here are Lauren’s top tips for a flawless spring look:
1. Firstly, conceal where necessary. Check out MAC’s Prep & Prime range, which has a lovely under eye click pen range.
2. To add a flush of colour to the cheeks use Benefit Cha Cha Tint– it’s a big favourite of mine. It is a gorgeous coral colour that suits every skin tone, has a sheer finish and lasts all day.
3. Apply a little highlighter to the top of the cheekbones. MAC Strobe Cream is beautifully sheer - use it sparingly and work it into the skin with your fingers.
4. Next, add lashings of mascara. I think it is the one item that can change your face in an instant. Eyeko Tall & Skinny is a fantastic choice for those looking for long separated luscious lashes. It’s a staple product in both my personal and professional kit.
5. Last of all the lips. Now, I am a massive fan of a bright matte lip. This was a big feature backstage for Spring/Summer 2103. I have recently discovered a new shade by from the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Bold Matte collection. It’s a shade called Fire Corail and it lasts all day long even between food and drinks. A fantastic and inexpensive and find!
