Bright, bold, striking colours - that’s what Summer is all about.
Famed shoe designer Pierre Hardy knows exactly just what women want in the hottest season of the year – vibrant hues that will turn heads. So in tune with that, Hardy has worked together with cult beauty brand, NARS, to create a series of limited edition nail polish and blush colours.
Inspired by his 2013 shoe collection with colour blocks of tangerines, blues, reds and more, he infused the same modern colour palette into nail polish pairs that are presented in his signature shoebox packaging complete with a dustbag.
According to Hardy “The shoe changes the way you move, the way you stand. It’s not only physical, it’s emotional. Makeup is the same. You make yourself up and you feel different.”
As a result, he came up with five nail polish pairings and two blush palettes that sport a gold overspray of his signature cubic print.
These nail duos are also given uber cute names like “Ethno Run”, “Easy Walking”, “Sharks” and the blush palettes are named “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Rotonde”.
Specific instructions are also printed on the base of the polishes – indicating which hand you should be painting the polish on – a very cute touch, we think.
The founder of NARS, Francois Nars knows just how intricately linked fashion and beauty are and adds his thoughts on the collaboration “Makeup is so linked to fashion. Like shoes, it is an extremely important accessory. Makeup completes the clothes and expresses your personal style.”

With shoes, bags and sneakers in a range of colours from cool sorbets to candy corals to eye-popping colour blocks, it’s a mix of retro glam with a hint of sophisticated femininity.

The NARS Nail Polish Pairs, $43 and NARS Blush Palettes, $65, will be on sale at On Pedder Scotts Square this weekend (May 23 – 26, 2013) before hitting the counter at TANGS Orchard from June 1.
The Pierre Hardy Summer Collection will also be available exclusively from May 23 – 26, 2013, only at On Pedder Scotts Square with shoes and clutches ranging from $760 to $1,100.
