Now you can pucker up to your loved ones even if they are an ocean away. British fashion house Burberry has launched Burberry Kisses that allows Google Chrome and mobile users to utilise the kiss recognition technology to personalise an e-message.
Hosted on a dedicated Burberry platform - Kisses.Burberry.com– you have to either literally smooch your computer’s camera or smartphone’s screen to capture the shape of your puckers (don’t forget to give it a wipe first!). Next, you can pick your favourite Burberry Beauty lip colour to dress up your virtual lips before sending it off with a message of your own – that’s what we call sealing it with a kiss!
The fun doesn’t end there. The recipient – be it your bestie who lives in London or your man who is on a business trip in the States – will be able to trace the journey of your kiss through an animation showing the kiss travelling through rich, 3D city skylines from Singapore to anywhere else in the world.
"Burberry Kisses began with the idea of giving technology a bit of heart and soul, and using it to unite the Burberry family across the world -- by telling a story that makes the digital personal," explained Christopher Bailey, Burberry's Chief Creative Officer.
Burberry is always on the lookout for new ways to connect digital audiences with major moments – the brand live streams their fashion shows to computers everywhere and their “Runway Made to Order” service that allows shoppers to place an order for a piece seen in the runway show right after instead of waiting months.
