Are you procrastinating on training for the run you signed up for? Or maybe you want to become fitter but are shy about joining a gym alone?
Why not kickstart your workout regime with the Puma Running Club, part of Puma’s global long-term running sustaining programme? Starting on August 1, 2013, the Puma Running Club will meet every Thursday evening at the Puma’s Marina Square Concept Store for weekly training runs.
The launch of these night runs coincide nicely with the release of Puma’s new Autumn Winter 2013 Glow collection that as the name says, glows in the dark.
Each weekly training session will include running-specific workouts like speed, circuit, strength and conditioning exercises and 5km to 10km group runs. After a short warmup, the runs will start off at Marina Square and the route will cover the scenic Marina Bay area.
Don’t worry if you haven’t ran in ages - everyone of any fitness level is welcomed at the Puma Running Club and workouts will be tailored towards your capability. Runners from the Puma-sponsored running club Team RunFanatics will lead the weekly sessions and be the cheerleaders to provide that bit of encouragement to nudge you along.
About 50 runners are expected to turn up at the first session on August 1 so you will be in good company. While membership is free, members have to be decked out in Puma running shoes. Don’t worry if you don’t have a pair - you can loan a pair from Puma for up to four sessions and there will be a 20 percent storewide discount at each training session. Plus, there will be complimentary Hammer Nutrition electrolyte drinks at each session and members of the Puma Running Club will receive perks like Puma running goodies, which includes socks, T-shirts and more!
The Puma Running Club starts on August 1, 2013 and takes place every Thursday, 7.15pm at the Puma Concept Store at #02-153/154. Registration is via marketing.sg@puma.com by every Wednesday noon. For more information on the Puma Running Club, check out the Puma Singapore Facebook page here.
