The online retailer is celebrating the UK capital's best fashion talents.
The London Lab is one of the first major projects created by Harper's Bazaar's former Senior Fashion Editor Carmen Borgonovo who was poached by the website from the esteemed fashion magazine in January this year. The project sees exclusive pieces on sale from some of London's hottest designers curated in a special mini-site, ahead of this season's London Fashion Week:
"During my years working as an editor I saw London Fashion Week go through exciting and difficult times; there was a period when London didn't have the relevance it has now," Borgonovo told the Telegraph. "However, the last few years have seen a huge resurgence of talent in London and London Lab is our way of celebrating this," she added.
Alongside the clothes (and a run through of the labels) there's also a handy guide to the city with top tips from the My-Wardrobe team, and interviews with five top international bloggers (including Stylebubble's Suzie Lau and Marie Hindkaer Andersen of Blame it on Fashion) who pick out their favorite looks.
The featured designers represent the cutting edge of London fashion with J.W. Anderson, Marios Schwab, Meadham Kirchoff, Lucas Nascimento, Preen, Ostwald Helgason, Palmer//Harding, Antipodium, Studio Nicholson and Huishan Zhang all taking part.
Launched in 2006, My-Wardrobe is part of a new generation of retailers including Net-à-Porter.com, The Corner and MyTheresa who are leading a boom in online luxury shopping. - AFP RELAXNEWS
