Fragrance fans, fresh from Fendi is the new L’Acquarossa, created by a trio of top noses Delphine Lebeau, Benoit Lapouza and Francois Demachy, who have conjured up a scent that is complex and citrusy with top notes of Sicilian mandarin and Calabrian bergamot.
The heart, meanwhile, is a dense, deeply floral composition of lantana, rose and magnolia petals, seguing into a sultry, simmering base of musk and exotic Indonesian patchouli. Overall impression? Uncompromisingly strong and vivacious, for a gutsy woman with lots of confidence.
The strength of this scent extends to its flacon, which is typical Fendi in its flamboyance. A geometric Art Deco-esque scarlet bottle with a gilded gold base and black enamel stopper, this is a sumptuous piece of art that will sit nicely on a power businesswoman's desk.
Fendi L’Acquarossa eau de parfum, $88 (30ml), $117 (50ml) and $148 (75ml), is available at Fendi stores. For more information, visit www.fendi.com and follow the brand on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
