On the night of December 2, 2013, London's Coliseum hosted the annual British Fashion Awards, with some of the world's top fashion talent turning up in the UK capital for the glamorous bash.

Sixteen different awards were presented at the ceremony in front of a star-studded audience which included appearances from Donatella Versace, Kate Moss, One Direction's Harry Styles, Miuccia Prada, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sienna Miller, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Christopher Kane took home the coveted top prize for Womenswear Designer of the Year in honor of his hugely successful 2013 shows as well as his deal with luxury giants Kering, which will see major growth in his burgeoning men's and women's lines.

A new category honoring the “International Designer of the Year” went to Italian fashion legend Miuccia Prada to celebrate her place on Time magazine's list of the 100 Most Influential People of the 20th Century, as well as her season-defining Prada collections, which seem to come like clockwork.

British brand Burberry got a double whammy win in the form of “Designer Brand of the Year” and the “Menswear Designer of the Year award”, which was given to current creative director (and future CEO) Christopher Bailey.

The “Outstanding Achievement in Fashion” prize was awarded to Terry and Tricia Jones of i-D magazine, while IHT fashion writer Suzy Menkes, and model Kate Moss also got Special Recognition Awards.

Both Menke and Moss were honoured for their 25-year long fashion-based careers – Menke for her work at the International New York Times and the supermodel as a fashion icon and great influence on the industry.

Another big winner was “Model of the Year” Edie Campbell who took the crown from last year's victor, her friend and Burberry co-star Cara Delevingne. It's been a big year for Edie, who opened Marc Jacobs's final show at Louis Vuitton and bagged some impressive campaigns for Jil Sander, Lanvin, and Alexander McQueen, among others.

"The roll call of winners announced this evening is a phenomenal display of talent in the fashion industry," said Natalie Massenet, Chairman of the British Fashion Council. "I'm incredibly proud to be a part of the ceremony this evening, set in the heart of our creative capital; it provides the perfect climax to a truly momentous year of British fashion," she added.
