Although Christmas is round the corner, H&M is already looking towards Chinese New Year in 2014. For this year’s Spring Festival, the high street brand will release a special collection that will only be sold in H&M stores in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
With many key pieces done in lucky red, like a tunic dress and trousers great for visiting friends and relatives, this Chinese New Year campaign has all the elements you need to usher in the Year of the Horse in style. There are also sexy open-toe stiletto boots and clutch bags – super for storing red packets – that round up the collection.
H&M has roped in Chinese supermodels Sui He and Tian Yi to star in the campaign. The dark-haired leggy beauties pose in falling confetti in matching outfits for the fun pictures. "I'm so excited to be celebrating Chinese New Year with this special campaign for H&M. It has everything that I love about the Spring Festival – fun, friendship and togetherness," says Sui He who is also a judge in the current China’s Next Top Model.
"I love the fashion in this Chinese New Year campaign for H&M. Red is the perfect colour for the celebrations, whether it's a red tunic dress, these great skinny pants or the amazing printed leggings. I can't wait to wear them for the New Year," says Tian Yi. She most recently lent her face in another holiday campaign for Tommy Hilfiger.
To add to this collection’s exclusivity, H&M has commissioned Swedish illustrator Beata Boucht to design a special horse drawing for the shopping bags, canvas bags, store interiors and even staff T-shirts for the festivities.
The H&M Spring Festival collection will be available from January 9, 2014, at Singapore H&M stores. For more information and store locations, go to www.hm.com. Follow the store on Facebook at www.facebook.com/hm, on Twitter @HMSingapore and Instagram @HM
