In November 2013, American beauty brand Urban Decay teased us with a trailer for Naked3 – quite possibly the first in cosmetics history. And while hardcore makeup junkies may have already pre-ordered the palette from Sephora’s international sites, if you want to play with the hues right at the counter, now is the right time to do so.
Available in an elongated bronze tin with ribbed indentations that make it look like it’s been veiled in some sort of ruched fabric, Urban Decay’s Naked3 packaging is a feast for the eyes … as are the shades within.
Split down the middle, six shades tend towards pink, with the other six more mauve. Finish-wise, four hues are full-on metallic glitter, two are perfectly matte and the rest a satiny shimmer.
Expect the same seriously strong staying power that Urban Decay shadows are celebrated for. Sweep on the palest pink all over your lids, then press in the sexiest plum and blend lightly at the crease to reveal the darker hue’s maroon micro-glitter. Now, whoever said neutrals were boring?
Like the other Naked palettes, the Naked3 comes with a large mirror and a nifty double ended brush for all your shadow application and blending purposes.
Urban Decay Naked3 palette, $83, is available at Sephora stores. For more information, visit www.sephora.com/urban-decay and follow Sephora Singapore on Facebook and Twitter.
