Last season, we saw Cara Delevingne getting cosy with barn owls for Mulberry. For Spring Summer 2014, it's now a mini menagerie that joins the model du jour for a tea party.
For its floral new campaign, Mulberry continues its English garden theme that was first seen on the London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014 runway.
More unexpected guests join Cara at her garden party indoors: While there was just Turbo the bulldog at the fashion show, the Mulberry Spring Summer 2014 campaign features a Jack Russell and a Great Dane, amongst other friendly animals that trotted into this Mulberry scene.
“The Spring Summer 2014 campaign was a beautiful but naughty tea party with Cara and her Ark of animals: The perfect Mulberry moment," says Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, who was the art director for the shoot. “They didn't have the best table manners, but Cara was very forgiving …”
Photographed by Tim Walker, these images mark the second time that Cara has been the face of a Mulberry campaign. The Spring Summer 2014 collection that she wears was also Emma Hill's swan song for Mulberry. The brand is still looking for a new creative director to replace to Hill; in the meantime, its February 2014 catwalk show at London Fashion Week has been cancelled.
