Beige or pink pencil liners are used to line the wet, inner rims of the eyes (also called the water line) to make peepers appear brighter and larger than they are (read our step-by-step guide on applying white eyeliner).

Ettusais Cream Eyeliner WP in PK, $23
Made with glycerin and hyaluronic acid to moisturise, this pencil also claims to be sweat and sebum-proof. This retractable creamy pencil glides easily on my water line.
The metallic pink-beige comes with a subtle shimmer. Once the colour sets on skin, it does not budge. However, the crayon can be a little too soft and crumbles easily.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Liner, $32
Formulated without parabens and mineral oil, this pencil aims to give you a "wide-awake" look even when you have had less than eight hours of sleep the night before.
The retractable pink-beige pencil is smooth and easy to use. It is also long-lasting and stayed on throughout the day.
A plus is that its matte but creamy texture allows you to blend it just under the brows to highlight the browbones. And like all the other beige liners, it made my eyes look wider.

Catrice Made To Stay Inside Eye Highlighter Pen in 010, $5.50, from selected Watsons stores
A waterproof and retractable pencil that comes with a sharpener.
This liner does not glide on as smoothly as the rest but it is long-lasting. It does the job and is a good value-for-money buy. It has a matte texture and can also be used as a browbone highlighter. I like the attached sharpener that keeps the crayon sharp for precise lines.
NYX Wonder Pencil in Light, $9 from Sephora stores
Made to be an eye-brightening inner rim liner, concealer and lip liner. The non-retractable pencil has a matte texture and glides easily on skin. It works perfectly as an inner rim liner, nude lip liner and browbone highlighter.
However, it can be rubbed off easily, is too dry to be used as an undereye concealer and is too light to cover other blemishes. That said, it is still a handy three-in-one pencil.
