Article:

The hustle and bustle of fashion week isn’t only confined to within the show venue. Just like the red carpet before an awards show, you will find a sea of photographers parked outside just to get a shot of the fashion insiders.

Street style is bigger than ever and sometimes the guests even eclipse the collection. One notable street style darling is Eva Chen, the editor-in-chief of Lucky Magazine. Chen adores social media – she’s never without her mobile for up-to-the-second Instagram updates from the shows.

Although she is a beauty editor by training, she loves her fashion and the rest of the world has also fallen in love with her easy style. Chen doesn’t shy away from prints and sequins, has a love affair with black shoes and always has a smile for the photographers.

That’s why we didn’t have to think twice about making Chen our first star of our “Steal her street style” series. Here are some tips on how to steal Eva Chen’s style.

DRESSES & SKIRTS

Chen’s a fan of dresses and top-and-skirt combinations. She makes the pencil skirt silhouette and prints work and we have a feeling that she would approve of this colourful Andrea Moore dress. Little details like zips and sequins stand out for her black skirt selections. We recommend this black Stylestalker Rainmaker dress with a zip up its side and fun feathered Twisted Sisters creation.

BLACK SHOES & ACCESSORIES

As for accessories, Chen is rarely seen without her signature black footwear. These slinky Peeptoe heels perfectly channel the editor-in-chief’s style. Add a pair of edgy sunglasses like Mystic Vintage Lullaby sunnies and a black clutch – we like Rachana Reddy’s monochrome envelope clutch– and you are good to go!
