The Parco Next Next, Singapore’s homegrown fashion incubator project that was established in 2010, has just announced its latest line-up of fresh fashion labels.

From April, 2012, there will be 18 new brands for Singapore fashionistas to choose from ranging from menswear labels like evenodd, quirky womenswear like Quainthood, the very “of the moment” digital prints from Kae Hana and also on trend handicrafts from labels like Mash-Up.

Other new brands include 20:TWOTHREE, 2 HB, alexandria chen, ANGELIA, ash, Episene, FOON FOONO, Foreword, LION EARL, Mils, RÊVASSEUR, Saloni Rathor (pictured above), Wil.LiaM Atelier and WSDM; all are located on the second floor of Parco Marina Bay at Millenia Walk.

This is the third batch of Singapore fashion designers to benefit from the Parco Next Next programme that not only offers them reduced rental but also assists with workshops, seminars and the mentorship of Textile and Fashion Federation (Singapore) vice president David Wang, alongside industry experts like Nic Wong and Daniel Yam.

“We want to put forward a good mix of designers, covering a broad range. Each year that we have done this project, we discover new design talents who may not have the means to launch their own labels but who, with the right opportunities and nurturing, have what it takes to succeed,” says Mr Wang. “The industry can be a hard one to break into, but to secure the future of Singapore fashion, we need to pave the way for fresh and new talent to come on board and flourish.”

To get some sort of idea about what kind of fashion will be on show, we have managed to have a chat with the designers behind the new labels. Check out what they have to say, and what their work is like in the gallery below. You’re sure to discover a brand new fashion obsession.

Parco Next Next is located at Millenia Walk, Level 2, 9 Raffles Boulevard. For more information about the programme, go to www.parco.com.sg and www.facebook.com/PARCOnextNEXT.
