Article:

1 Gourmet Pizza Al Fungi
$9.90, from Fairprice Finest
We liked that the crispy thin-crust pizza came with a cream-based sauce instead of tomato – which complemented the gooey mozzarella and sliced mushroom topping.

2 Marks & Spencer Lochmuir Salmon Fillets with Watercress Sauce
$17.90, from Marks & Spencer
Some of us thought the pair of Scottish salmon fillets tasted slightly fishy, but the generous portion of well-seasoned watercress sauce rescued it.

3 Gastronomic! Beef Lasagne
$8.80, from Fairprice Finest
This emerged from the microwave with the sauce bubbling and an aroma of sauteed beef. It comes with disposable cutlery for zero washing up.

4 Nissin Spa Oh Premium Genovese
$7.35, from Isetan Scotts
This Japanese-Italian fusion has coils of spaghetti stained with light pesto cream sauce and a smattering of shrimp – so yummy that we all went back for seconds.

5 Lean Cuisine Herb Roasted Chicken
$12.15, from Jasons The Gourmet Grocer
The star was the chicken, which was juicy and had a nice bite. The savoury herb cream sauce prevented the broccoli florets and roasted potatoes from drying up.

6 Marks & Spencer Macaroni Cheese
$8.90, from Marks & Spencer
The epitome of comfort food in a microwaveable container, this had surprisingly al dente tube pasta in a rich, molten cheese sauce. Complete the dish by adding your own shredded ham.
