In a world where dewy BB creams are all the rage, I’ve always wondered when a company would launch a cream that came with a matte finish.
Benefit must have read my mind. Big Easy is a lightweight BB cream that provides sheer (and anti-shine!) coverage in six different shades. Marketed as a multi-balancing complexion perfector by the company, it claims to control nasty sebum levels while protecting you from the sun! Perfect for sunny Singapore, I say.
Like a huge circus affair, the product transforms from liquid-to-powder upon application, and contains self-correcting pigments in the formula. It provides sheer buildable coverage, with a sun protection of SPF35 to boot. With all these properties, Benefit’s Big Easy seems to be balancing its circus act really well.
Benefit’s beautiful history started with the Ford twins Jean and Jane in 1976, when the sisters were deciding (on a coin flip no less!) between opening a casserole or make-up shop. Thankfully for Benefit fans, the coin landed on its tails. Since then, Jean’s two daughters have also joined the company’s realm as global beauty authorities, incorporating the brand’s fun-loving personality into its products.
Benefit’s Big Easy, $60, is available at all Sephora stores from March 20 , and at all Benefit counters from April 8. For more information, visit www.benefitcosmetics.com and follow the brand on Facebook.
