Wedding shots of the two adorable couples, Key of SHINee with Japanese model Yagi Arisa (L) and Taiwanese actress-singer Puff Kuo with Kim Hee-chul of Super Junior (R), of We Got Married Global Edition Season 2
Mark your calendars, ladies. The popular Korean variety show We Got Married Global Edition is back on Saturday, April 5, at 7pm on STAR Chinese Channel (StarHub TV Ch. 822 and SingTel mio TV Ch. 507), and it's looking to push more boundaries with its new droolworthy cast.
The series is an international – Asian-wide to be precise – spin off of the iconic We Got Married series, where Korean celebrities are paired up to play house. In this spin off, the spotlight is put on the challenges of being a bicultural couple, as seen with the cast of its very successful first season, Taecyeon from 2pm with Taiwanese actress-singer Gui Gui; and Hongki from FT Island with Japanese actress Fuji Mina.

The new season’s star power does not disappoint, as both Kim Hee-chul of worldwide sensation Super Junior and Key, frontman of the equally popular Korean boy band, SHINee, are starring as the leading males.
Married life doesn’t seem like it’ll be easy for our pretty boys though, because on top of cultural differences, age may be another problem they’ll have to face. Their “wives”, Taiwanese actress-singer Puff Kuo and Japanese model Yagi Arisa respectively, are much younger, scandalously so, some may feel, than the boys as compared to the previous season. I don’t know about you, but 12 years, the age difference between Arisa and Key, seems like a really huge gap to bridge.
Catch the We Got Married Global Edition series premiere this Saturday to find out how these celebrity couples try to overcome their differences.
