Mouthpuckeringly good news, beauty shoppers!
Time to increase your credit limit, beautiful people. Sephora is uploading its entire treasure trove of private label bath and body, makeup and accessories onto fashion shopping site Zalora, in a move that’s aimed squarely at the groundswell of online beauty shoppers in Singapore and the region.
Take it from the bigwig himself. Here’s Harry Markl, regional managing director of Zalora with the key takeaway of this exciting new endeavour: “By mid-year, Zalora’s entire beauty category will come under a Sephora umbrella, meaning the assortment of beauty brands available on Zalora will be highly similar to what a customer would find in a regular Sephora store.”
Not entirely convinced? Other perks thrown in for good measure include Zalora’s zippy one-to-three day delivery in Singapore and free delivery with purchases over $40 – not a hard target to hit at all.
We’re not sure what Sephora’s partnership with Zalora will mean for the cosmetics giant’s brick-and-mortar boutiques in Singapore, but hey, it’s a win-win for all in our beauty books: The move online will thin out the at-times intolerable hordes at Sephora stores, and regulars who already know what they want can restock their vanity chests with a swipe of their tablets.
