Sub-Head:
We’re loving the bizarre beauty bauble sported on the chin of cool clotheshorse Pharrell Williams, which we find every bit as awesome – only infinitely more wearable – than the rakish rapper’s by-now iconic oversized hat

A tip of the hat to Pharrell Williams is in order for pulling off yet another audacious style statement, this time at the recent Time 100 Gala at fashion locus Lincoln Center in New York City.

The American multi-hyphenate was seen rocking a grosgrain-trimmed iteration of his signature Vivienne Westwood headgear, a sartorial choice which, if we’re being honest, is getting to be a bit of an old hat at this point.

Instead, the rapper’s ridiculously rad red carpet look was capped off, so to speak, with a Band-Aid plastered prominently on his chin.

The ultimate kicker? The designer bandage was branded all over with an ironic Mickey Mouse print, upending a utilitarian item into funky fashion territory.

As for the why of the matter, we’re pretty sure Pharrell’s using the plaster to disguise a pimple or razor cut – unless, of course, he’s hiding a healing chin cleft job in plain sight ...

Whatever the case may be, we have to give mad props to the man for opting to flaunt a skin flaw by simultaneously concealing and drawing attention to the problem at hand. We think this is a pretty humorous alternative to pancake concealer; indeed, we’ll be trying it out the next time we (touch wood!) break out.

Oh, and one more thing. The seemingly ageless chart-topper  is 41-years-old, so we can all take solace in the fact that we’re not alone in suffering from an odd spot now and then.

While we’re at it, try a little hide-and-treat by layering Estée Lauder’s new acne alleviators under your comic character-embossed plaster.

The Clear Difference Advanced Blemish Serum and Targeted Blemish Treatment duo (pictured above) is stuffed with zit-zapping salicylic acid and mattifying marine extracts, so you can look forward to visibly calmer skin when you rip off your dressing at the end of the day. And that is surely something to be well, Happy about.

Estée Lauder Clear Difference Advanced Blemish Serum, $90 for 30 ml and $130 for 50 ml, and Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Treatment, $54, are available from May 2014 at all Estée Lauder counters. For more information, visit www.esteelauder.com.sg and follow Estée Lauder Singapore on Facebook.
