Everyone at the X-Men blue carpet at Shaw, Singapore was completely besotted with the charming trio, from left to right, Hugh Jackman, Fan Bingbing, and Peter Dinklage,
Good looks and acting chops are no longer enough to make it to Hollywood. Mastering the art of selfies has become yet another requirement as proven by mega heart throb Hugh Jackman. The hunky star snapped his way down the blue carpet at the Singapore premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past, in which he reprises the role of Wolverine. It’s not just him either; both Fan Bing Bing, who stars as teleporting mutant Blink, and charismatic Peter Dinklage, who plays Bolivar Trusk, flaunted their selfie skills while gamely signing autographs for screaming fans. Some lucky ones even managed to catch shirts shot into the crowd by the stars.
Fan Bingbing (L) and Peter Dinklage (R) are evidenly masters at taking selfies
We did some screaming ourselves when we managed to get up close and personal with style icon Fan Bingbing who looked even more flawless up close. As always, the Chinese star looked x-quisite in a Delpozo Spring 2014 gown, though we confess that watching her struggle with the voluminous dress made us itch for a pair of scissors — fashion crime be damned.
Before we could fully absorb their superstar powers, the trio were gone in a blink of the eye. Thankfully, we caught the stars at the press conference the next day where things got a little physical (in a good way, we promise). Claws came out when Hugh Jackman gleefully got into character and called a fellow reporter out for boldly asking if Wolverine uses cutlery or simply stabs his steak. We were tickled to see Hugh helping the unsuspecting victim back into the room after having it out with him backstage. We can't help but wonder what Wolverine taught him behind the scenes, though. But that’s not the end of Hugh’s comedic streak; when asked about the confirmation of Channing Tatum’s role as Gambit, he playfully claimed to “have never heard of him” — to which Peter responded with “he’s a dancer” — garnering another round of laughter from the crowd.
Not one to let Hugh have all the fun, Peter Dinklage joked about being Hugh’s body double for his sexy back scene in the movie because he “didn’t feel too happy with his derrière”, to which the crowd roared with laughter. Let us assure you, Hugh, the team at HWP were pretty satisfied with the current state of your very well endowed bottom.
The trio star in the upcoming blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past which sees the X-Men — a group of heroic mutants —battling to ensure the survival of the human species across two time periods. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in an epic battle that must change the past — to save our future.
