GREAT FIND
1 JEAN PERRY THERMO GEL MEMORY PILLOW
$59, from BHG Bugis
Reviewer: Simone Wu, a side and back sleeper
Feel and support“This dense pillow was cushy in the middle but its firm contours gave good support to my neck and head. It’s wonderful how it was immediately comfortable – I did not have to break it in. And I like that one side of the pillow has an embedded gel insert (the only pillow with this feature), so it felt cool even with the air-conditioning off .”
The next morning“I have been waking up with an aching neck, but after a night’s sleep on this pillow, I felt so refreshed! It’s perfect for me.”

BEST VALUE
2 IKEA 365+ FAST PILLOW
$29.90, from Ikea
Reviewer: Lim Tsiao Hui, a side and back sleeper
Feel and support“Even though I like to sink into soft and plush pillows, I found this sturdy but light contour
pillow surprisingly easy to adapt to. It’s about a quarter smaller than a regular pillow. The contours of the lower wedge fitted snugly against my neck whether I was on my back or my side, although I didn’t feel that it cradled my head very much. But it gave good neck support, and after two weeks, I prefer it to my old pillow!”
The next morning“No stiff neck, no aches, no complaints.”

EDITOR’S RAVE
3 TEMPUR COMFORT PILLOW SENSATION (MEDIUM)
$329, from Tempur SleepBoutique
Reviewer: Rachel Xie, a side and back (mostly) sleeper
Feel and support“It felt very plush, sort of buoyant, and fitted the curve of my neck and shoulders. It was just the right height – my shoulders felt supported and comfortable and I did not take long to get used to it. It was slightly warmer than my current pillow, but not unbearably so.”
The next morning“My neck and shoulders are less achy after 10 days of sleeping on this pillow.”

EDITOR’S RAVE
4 SIMMONS BEAUTYREST NEXTGEN PILLOW 300 (FIRM)
$370, from Simmons Gallery and eshop.simmons.com.sg
Reviewer: Penelope Chan, a side and tummy (mostly) sleeper
Feel and support“The pillow was more comfortable when I slept on my side than on my tummy – my neck and body felt aligned, compared with when I slept on my usual stack of two pillows. But on my tummy, I had to either sleep higher up on the pillow, or much lower, with my head almost off it. I got used to it immediately, even though I’ve not used a memory foam pillow before. It didn’t feel hot, even on windless nights.”
The next morning“I slept soundly, ache-free, and was well rested from the first night.”

5 KING KOIL SMART BEDDING COMFORT ACCENTS COOLMAX CONTOUR
$69, from BHG Bugis
Reviewer: Chelza Pok, a side sleeper
Feel and support“I like my pillow firm, so this one, which is a little stiffer and harder, suits me. I slept on the higher part of the pillow and the contour fitted my neck well, giving it good support right from the first night.”
The next morning“I was getting aches in my neck from my previous pillow, but since I’ve been sleeping on this one, the aches have gone away.”

6 INTERO AIR PASS PIN HOLE CHARCOAL MEMORY FOAM CONTOUR PILLOW
$69, from John Little
Reviewer: Cheryl Leong, a side sleeper
Feel and support“Even though I am a side sleeper, I drifted off to sleep easily on my back, with the high side of the pillow fitting my neck comfortably. However, it was less comfy when I was on my side as the low crest was too low and the high crest, too high.”
The next morning“It made me a back sleeper, and surprisingly, I was well rested!”
