We’ve all experienced a bad skin day. Waking up to a zit or irritated skin will dampen my mood and plans. Regardless of whether its a sunburn, inflamed skin or dull skin, I’ve come up with a list of emergency fixes that will help you treat your skin condition in an instant.

INFLAMED SKIN EMERGENCY
For some reason your skin decided to paint itself red just before an important business meeting. Before you start drowning your face in foundation (which might actually make it worse), pat on Etude’s House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion in Green.

Green is well known to be a great colour corrector for red and inflamed skin, but I’m loving Etude’s House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion as it doubles up as a makeup primer too!

The cushion looks like a regular run-of-the-mill BB cushion (but it actually isn’t a BB at all). It is actually a colour corrector that hides the redness of your skin, while giving you a moisturised sheer makeup base. Dab on a thin layer all over to hide that red face, and once it sets ─ pile on the foundation!

STRESSED AND DULL SKIN EMERGENCY
The lack of sleep or nasty environmental pollutants can cause your skin to look less than stellar once in a while. Whenever my skin looks dull, I often rely on Bliss’ Triple Oxygen Instant Energising mask to perk it up. The brand is famous for its oxygen facials and says it has encapsulated its award winning treatment into this bottle.

A lot easier and quicker than a sheet mask, this mask works to instantly brighten up dull skin. Simply massage the orange liquid onto your damp skin and wait for bubbles to form. In a couple of seconds, your skin will be filled with oxygen bubbles right before your eyes, and vitamin C ─ a proven antioxidant and brightening agent. What's more, this mask only takes five minutes to work its magic.

SUNBURN EMERGENCY
Although I generally avoid the sun, my SPF sometimes fails me. When that happens, I usually slather on aloe vera or calamine lotion. But if you really want a quick fix on the go, The Face Shop’s Calming Seed 1 Second Mist works as a great option.

Like its name suggests, the brand says that this toner will cool down and soothe sensitive skin in one second. Made up of 90 percent naturally derived ingredients, the facial mist gives your skin an instant burst of hydration while working to calm down sensitivity. Spritz this over your sun burnt skin and enjoy in the instant cooling effect.
