It’s not just children who need playtime; we grown-ups need to have our fun too, in fact even more so, considering the stress we face daily at work. So, here’s your chance to unleash the child in you and go wild at the Adult Playground, the world's first and largest outdoor festival.
Happening on November 8, 2014, at Siloso Beach, Adult Playground is an an active alternative to your Saturday routine of shopping, sleeping, and surfing (of the virtual variety). Bringing you the best of local sports and music, this one-day event offers up over 22 unorthodox and exciting sporting activities, along with popular local music acts Jack and Rai and The Sam Willows, and is even bringing in local foodie greats — because this is Singapore, after all.
Highlights include Archery Tag, a game that combines the intensity of dodgeball and paintball with the skill-set of archery; Bubble Soccer, where teammates covered in inflatable donuts run head-on into each other; Mega Bounce, a bungee assisted trampoline that sends adrenaline junkies leaping 20 feet high and back; Human Foosball, the life-sized version of table soccer; Dunk Tank, where the person on the hot seat falls into a tank of water when a target causing the seat to tip is struck; and Gladiator, a jousting contest that requires balances, dexterity, and quickness.
No worries even if you’re a couch potato as Adult Playground is about having fun and caters to all fitness levels — no physical training is required.
Early bird tickets for Adult Playground will go on sale for $68 in late July via Peatix. All tickets are inclusive of daytime activities (from 10am to 6pm) and concert (5 to 7pm), and participants are required to be a minimum of 22 years old to be a part of Adult Playground. Group tickets in denominations of 5 are available for purchase at $59 each.
