The Fashion Week season is truly underway now, with London kicking off on February 17 and Milan following hot on its heels.
The fashion capitals will clash on February 22 though, with Italian greats such as Gucci and Alberta Ferretti scheduled to launch Milan Fashion Week while London welcomes menswear labels such as J.W. Anderson Men and Christopher Shannon.

London Fashion Week
February 17-21 (with menswear February 22)

This season British designer Stella McCartney will make her first ever London Fashion Week appearance for a one-off show (pictured left). Another debut will come from the Alexander McQueen diffusion line, McQ, which also has a special show planned. A day dedicated to men's fashion is scheduled for February 22.

Londoners will also be able to buy tickets for London Fashion Weekend, which sees the Fashion Week headquarters Somerset House host a shopping and catwalk show extravaganza with the likes of Pringle of Scotland, Jaeger London and Linda Farrow present. www.londonfashionweek.co.uk
Milan Fashion Week

While London wraps up with a day of menswear, fashionistas will be descending on Italy's fashion capital for the launch of Milan Fashion Week. Gucci, Alberta Ferretti, Fendi and Bottega Veneta are just some of the big names set to show their Fall/Winter 2012 collections. www.cameramoda.it
Paris Fashion Week

The queen of all fashion weeks concludes ready-to-wear show season with only the biggest names in fashion such as Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Lanvin. Despite their special one-off appearances at London Fashion Week in February, Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen's regular Fall/Winter 2012 shows will take place as usual at Paris Fashion Week. www.modeaparis.com
Première Classe (Accessories)
March 2-5
Paris, France
Held twice a year concurrently with Paris Fashion Week, Première Classe has been an essential reference for fashion accessories for over 20 years, attracting young designers and established brands from across the globe. Held at the Jardin des Tuileries, designers set to attend this edition include Antoni and Alison, Tatty Devine and Atelier Noiret Coussin. www.premiere-classe-tuileries.com
3rd Novomania
March 7-9
Shanghai, China
Launched in 2010, this event showcases streetwear, casualwear, footwear, premium fashion and denim, welcoming brands including Superdry, Mango and Replay. For the March 2012 event 70 new brands have been added including Desigual, UMM and Nobrand.
About 30,000 visitors from across southeast Asia are expected to attend, with exhibitor numbers expected to rise to 300, from 200 last year. Novomania will also show biannually for the first time in 2012, with an August edition planned. www.novo-mania.com
40th Baselworld

Every Spring around 2000 companies from the watch, jewelry and precious-stone industries unveil the latest innovations at Baselworld, with the world's most prestigious brands such as Rolex, Chopard, Tissot, Patek Philippe and Bulgari exclusively displaying their collections.
