Fly off into Kawaii-land on the Hello Kitty jet
There’s nothing Hello Kitty can’t do. The cartoon cat may be missing a mouth but that hasn’t stopped her from world domination. She has chalked up remarkable achievements from collaborations with the hippest fashion stores like Colette in Paris, dedicated amusement parks to stamps with her mug.
And the Kitty journey starts when you check in, with Hello Kitty boarding pass, baggage tags and more
Now, the world-famous cat has put her paws on the aviation industry. This December, Taiwanese airline Eva Air brings its Hello Kitty jets to Singapore. When I mean Hello Kitty, I don’t mean a plane emblazoned with the cat on its body – that’s only for amateurs.
All abroad the Hello Kitty jet!
The magic (or nightmare, for long suffering boyfriends of Kitty fans) starts when you check in for your flight and receive Hello Kitty boarding passes and baggage stickers. Stewardess wearing pink Kitty aprons welcome you onto the plane where all headrest covers and pillows feature Kitty and her friends.

I’m sure the food tastes better when shaped in the image of a cat and served on Kitty-themed trays with cups and utensils. The airline was really thorough in Kitty-fying the plane, even the bathroom experience was not overlooked. Expect to have Kitty staring at you from the soaps, hand lotions, tissues and toilet rolls while you go about your business.
Just some Kitty memorabilia on board the plane
Of course, a series of limited edition Hello Kitty duty-free products will be available for purchase on board.
If you are any sort of self-respecting Kitty fan, you have to book a flight on Eva Air’s special Hello Kitty jets at the end of 2014. Honestly, from one fan to another, I predict it will be simply mindblowing. Bring me back a souvenir from the flight, thanks!
Eva Air Hello Kitty charter flights will depart from Singapore on December 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20, 2014. The exclusive travel agents selling tickets of these flights are Chan Brothers Travel, CS Travel, CTC Travel, Dynasty Travel, Green Holidays and New Shan Travel.
