A string of clips from the Kathryn Bigelow-directed Chanel film for Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme have been released online.
The short clips, which can be seen on the French fashion house's YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/user/CHANEL, give an indication of the campaign's atmosphere, while the Oscar-winning moviemaker's video campaign will begin running from April.
The print and video campaigns star professional surfer Danny Fuller to evoke the men's sports fragrance, which comprises notes of mint, black pepper and sandalwood.
Bigelow's experience shooting 1991 surf film Point Break was clearly a help when it came to capturing Fuller, who can be seen riding large waves.
Chanel has a long history of working with top directors for its ad campaigns, with some of the most famous including Baz Luhrmann's Chanel No. 5 film starring Nicole Kidman and Martin Scorsese's Bleu de Chanel film starring Gaspard Ulliel. --AFP RELAXNEWS
