Celebrity hairstylist James Pecis has explained how to put together the star’s signature braided look in a step-by-step guide.
“Spritz salt spray all over damp hair. Do a rough blow-dry with your hands for a bed-head look. Pick sections from behind your ears and backcomb or tease the hair at the roots. Take a few sections from the back of your head and plait them,” James told the UK edition of Glamour magazine’s Beauty Guide.
“Keep the plaits loose. Remember, this look should be soft and effortless!”
The hair pro also revealed how to copy another favourite TV look. James has explained how to achieve a “vintage blow-dry” look a la Mad Men star January Jones.
“Start by creating a deep side parting. Blow-dry your hair with a round brush to remove frizz. Set your hair using medium-sized tongs and make sure all curls are in the same direction,” he advised.
“Wait for the curls to cool down and then brush through with a boar-bristle brush. Keep brushing until the curls form to create one loose wave.” © Cover Media
