MasterCard and UN Women Singapore re-launch Project Inspire

According to the results of the latest MasterCard Index of Worldwide Advancement (MIWA), large steps have been taken in most markets around the world to aid the progress of women in the workplace.

While this has proved to be encouraging, there is still plenty of room for improvement, as the infographic below will show.

MasterCard and UN Women Singapore re-launch Project Inspire

In light of International Women’s Day, MasterCard and UN Women Singapore have teamed up again for the second edition of Project Inspire: 5 Minutes to Change the World.

This year-long project seeks to help youth create a better employment opportunities for women and girls in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, and is in line with MasterCard’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) mission of supporting sustainable social development programs that leverage entrepreneurship and education to benefit women and youth.

If you are between 18 to 35 years old and think you have what it takes to make a difference in the lives of women and girls through entrepreneurship, then this might be just the challenge for you.

Simply send in your entries - either as a five-minute video or one-page written proposal - to www.5minutestochangetheworld.org and you could win a US$25,000 grant if your idea shows creativity and sustainable impact in the lives of women and girls across the targeted nations through entrepreneurship!

The call for entries to Project Inspire: 5 Minutes to Change the World opens March 8, 2012. For more information, visit www.5minutestochangetheworld.org.
