A BIT OF EVERYTHING!

SHOPDECA www.shopdeca.sg
Expect to find a wide range of products at this one-stop online shop, from apparel to travel accessories to cute disposable dining sets. Founded in Indonesia in 2013 and launched in Singapore in mid last year, it carries finds from niche brands as well as international labels, such as Mischa bags, Moleskin notebooks and Nixon watches. We like their modern Ugna Zaneta Platform ($69), as well as the Maleo Laptop Case ($36). For the home, don't miss the eye-catching lamps from Kite Design Studio.

FOR THE HOME

STYLODECO www.stylodeco.com
Founded late last year by Helene Denaiffe, a mother-of-two, the bulk of the made-in-Europe products are exclusively sourced - you won't spot them in stores in town.

Find mostly home ornaments and furnishings here, plus a smattering of artwork, notebooks, bags and jewellery.

What caught our eye - their decor hampers, with names like Baby Girl, Tea Time and Kitchen Utensils. Each is packed with just a few items, some decorative, others practical, but all pretty and arty. They make great gifts or just a ready-made set of things to spruce up your living space.

YUMMY SCRUMMY FOOD

BATCH www.batch.sg
When food journalist Debbie Yong covered the rise of local food artisans in Singapore, she realised they needed help to market their food, as most held day jobs. So she set up Batch to help these independent producers, as well as to provide a gourmet emporium for foodies.

Expect drinks, condiments, breakfast staples and snack offerings at Batch, all made by local and regional food artisans. Debbie is also working with chefs to create an exclusive line of products, Batch X, with nosh like Eastern Granola Pina Colada Granola ($13) and Madam Tan’s Seafood Spice Rub ($10).

Other than food, there's a small collection of handcrafted tableware and even a Microgreens Starter Kit (from $7.50).

CRATEFUL www.crateful.com.sg
Started by two local food producers Angela Phua and Joey Gan, Crateful is a gourmet grocer of wholesome foods (no artificial flavours or additives). The spread ranges from nut butters to jams and meringues, with most in creative flavours you're unlikely to find on supermarket shelves. With names like Sourpox Meringue, Mango and Lime Jam, and Mofo Chili Final Destination, you'll want to try everything.

FOR THE ACCESSORIES QUEEN

THE ORDINARY CO www.theordinary.co
Ordinary isn't necessarily a bad thing – the accessories you will find here are simple but stylish, versatile and inexpensive. New collections are launched every week and you’ll find rings, bracelets and earrings for work and the weekend, as well as statement necklaces for more formal events like dinners. At the moment, all items are sourced but there are plans to launch an in-house collection.

FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES

OH HAPPY FRY www.ohhappyfry.com
In between the ubiquitous kids clothing chains and the upscale boutiques are charming stores like this one, with something for every little tyke. Oh Happy Fry is one of these shops. Oh Happy Fry stocks a collection of kidswear, toys and decor by designers whom founder Rae Yun befriended through blogs and Instagram. We're eyeing the adorable Mini Rodini Zebra Leggings ($49), made from organic cotton, and the quirky Vintage Head and Tails Card Game ($8).
