A new treatment essence will be hitting the market this May, but what’s its claim amongst so many others? Find out here, and why it’s worth trying
Article:

Treatment essence fans, here’s a new one put on your list to try. Kiehl’s is releasing a new Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence this May, and it’s said to strengthen and smoothen out skin that’s beginning to age.

Amongst other hydrating ingredients such as Sodium Hyaluronate, the star ingredient in this product, is the Iris Florentina Root Extract, which is rich in flavonoids. They act as chemical messengers and physiological regulators that help to protect the plant and aid in its regeneration.

On the skin, this extract is said to help to maintain the skin texture and density, and thus reducing fine lines in the process. The results? A decrease in the number and length of wrinkles after four weeks of use, says the brand.

While the results remain to be seen at this point – we’re still testing a mountain of stuff – but what we can say from testing it on our hands is this: The liquid has a slightly thicker viscosity than most water-textured essences, but not as much as a gel toner.

The product absorbs into the skin quickly with a non-sticky finish, leaving the surface looking soft, hydrated and a little brighter. Plus it has a faint floral scent – no fragrance added, by the way – that’ll be refreshing in the morning, but soothing at night.

Treatment essence fans, we think it’s one you should try.

Kiehl’s Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence, $75 for 200ml, will be available from May 2015 at all Kiehl’s stores and counters.
