Keep your lips looking full and healthy with the latest liquid lipsticks.
The best part? They are not sticky like traditional glosses, so your hair is less likely to get stuck on your pout.
Shu Uemura Laque Supreme
$40, from Shu Uemura counters
Available in 15 shades, the formulation was inspired by the lustre of Japanese lacquerware.
Besides recreating the shine of lacquer with water-soluble dye and oil-dispersed pigments, the brand took this new formula one notch up with a signature bright red shade.
It teamed up with renowned lacquerware brand Yamada Heiando to create the intense red (RD01) of urushi tableware.
The angled, tapered and flexible lip wand makes precise application a breeze.
Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss
$36, available at Sephora stores from next month
Taking its cue from glossy acrylic plexi-glass, this product is available in 35 shades in two textures - pearlescent and pure colour.
The leaf-shaped applicator is flexible and holds just enough liquid lipstick for an intense lip colour in one fuss-free swipe.
The formula promises to last up to five hours, and it will replace the brand's Lab Shine Lip Gloss range.
My picks: 207, a bright pink; and 104, the perfect nude.
Dior Rouge Brillant
$48, from Dior counters
A lip balm-cum-liquid lipstick, it promises to be long-lasting while treating lips with nourishing oils and a lip-plumping ingredient.
Layer it over a complementary Rouge Dior lipstick for bold, high-shine lips. Available in 14 shades, I like 688 Hollywood, a daring fuchsia.
Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Color
$40, available at Laura Mercier counters from next month
An opaque, semi-glossy liquid rouge that feels barely-there on lips. It is supposedly long-wearing, is paraben-free, alcohol-free and fragrance-free.
The collection is available in seven shades. Coral Reef, a pretty coral-pink shade, will suit an everyday make-up look.
Bourjois Aqua Laque
$25, from Bourjois counters
A lightweight, shiny and glossy liquid lipstick with intense colours. It claims to moisturise lips for up to 10 hours with an emulsion-like texture too.
I like no.5 Red My Lips, an intense red; and no.7 Fuchsia Perche, a bright pink.
