The first trailer for Looper, costarring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception), was released April 12, revealing footage from the futuristic action-thriller.
In this story, set 30 years from now when time travel exists, an assassin for the mob, called a "looper," eliminates the enemies of the future. During one critical trip he recognizes that he is the target and is being hunted by his future self.
The intriguing footage features Bruce Willis as Gordon-Levitt's older and balder self, whom he faces at the end of a barrel when his bosses decide to "close the loop."
The film also stars Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau) and Jeff Daniels (State of Play). It is written and directed by Rian Johnson (The Brothers Bloom).
Looper opens September 27-28 in Russia, Brazil, the UK and North America, followed by France and other European markets, Australia and Argentina on October 10-11.
