NTUC Income Kite Festival Singapore 2012
For the fourth time, ACT 3 International is bringing back the popular Kite Festival. Get to know fellow kite-flying enthusiasts during Community Flying Days, held over three weekends in Jurong, Sembawang and Tampines, and witness a showcase of 40 of Singapore’s most experienced kiters flaunt their stuff. The finale event, Grand Flying Days, will occur in September at Marina Bay. Share your messages of love, friendship, peace and hope on the Kite Messages Canopy, an installation that would rely on its audience to work.

BreakTalk’s 12th anniversary
In celebration of its 12th anniversary, BreadTalk is giving away 1200 free Flosss buns at their Toa Payoh and Junction 8 outlets. They will also commemorating the milestone with limited edition Flosss flavors, Tomyum Flosss ($1.60) and Wasabi Flosss, ($1.60) and PartyBT! The Analog Girl + MUON
British Council Singapore presents Musicity, a location-based, curated international platform featuring seven Singaporean recording artists who have been commissioned to compose original music inspired by seven locations in the city. As a sneak preview for the even in October, electronic pop singer-songwriter The Analog Girl and electronica band MUON will be performing at Gardens By The Bay.

Water for Women
When you head out this weekend, take a moment to appreciate the fact that you can readily and easily get access to clean, drinkable water by donating $1 or more for the tap water served during your meal. Water for Women, which coincides with Singapore International Water Week, is a fundraising and awareness initiative by Singapore Committee for UN Women. This exhibition by the National Archives of Singapore and the National Museum of Singapore takes you through 20 years of our country’s search for a national identity.

Seeker of Hope: Works by Jia Aili
As part of the Credit Suisse “Innovation in Art” series, The Singapore Art Museum presents Seeker of Hope, 50 artworks which include epic-scale, visually stunning oil paintings, video installations and paper works. They are the physical representation of Jia Aili’s personal reflection on post-millennium changes in China and art in the globalised world.
