Elizabeth Arden is a brand that is known for many beauty staples – their cult beauty product, the Ceramide Gold Capsules, popular favourite, the Eight Hour Cream, the renowned Red Door Spa and even some of their fragrances.
The brand is often associated with the research and technology that goes into their products and their 102-year-old spa heritage.
But still, there are many people unfamiliar with the brand and have never tried out their products.
That, in itself, is good enough reason why Elizabeth Arden decided to launch their very first basic skincare line – Visible Difference.
The line, set to target women in their 20s, is said to be simple to use, and it has been said to be able to deliver a marked difference in your skin in just 6 days.
For those of you who are just like me – time-starved, lazy and extremely afraid of skincare lines with more than six steps – will find this a welcome reprieve.
The four-step process is foolproof – a cleanser, a toner, an optimizing skin serum and a moisturiser and you’re good to go. The fuss-free regime is also colour-coded and tailored for three different skin types – oil-free for oily skin, skin-balancing for combination skin and gentle-hydrating for dry skin.
The Oil-free regimen seeks to minimise oil and balance moisture, while providing lightweight moisturisation and helps control oil and shine. The skin is also retexturised for a healthy looking glow.
On the other hand, the Skin Balancing regime works for those with combination skin and wants optimal balance in oil control, hydration and treatment. It also offers gentle exfoliation and toning while working with the skin’s natural repair process to create ideal moisture.
The Gentle Hydrating regime provides intense moisturisation for dry skin, restores balance and promotes hydration in the skin’s surface levels. The regime also removes impurities on the surface of the skin and is prepped to retain hydration throughout the day.
I have to admit that I was also swayed, partly by the clean minimalist look of the new range. It’s white, refreshing and may I add, reminded me slightly of the Red Door spa, that Arden is so well-known for.
So what’s so special about this new line?
According to Kara Langan, vice-president of global marketing for skincare and colour at Elizabeth Arden, “The most important step is the Visible Difference Optimizing Skin Serum, which acts as a booster and makes the rest of your routine work harder for you.”
In a nutshell, the brand believes that it’s important to make your skincare work better and harder for you by optimising it. When your skin is healthy, it absorbs your skincare products better, making it more efficient.
To compliment the daily regimens, the line also contains specialised treatment products including a Brightening Eye Gel, Moisturizing Eye Cream, Peel and Reveal Revitalizing Mask, Hydration Boost Night Mask and Good morning Retexturizing Primer, especially for those who require a little push in certain areas of concern.
If you’re looking for a easy-to-maintain, uncomplicated regime, this spa-inspired line, is definitely your answer.
