Shu Uemura reinvents dry-shampoo
The latest hair care brand to reinvent the dry shampoo is Shu Uemura Art of Hair.

In 1955, Shu Uemura was the first Japanese makeup artist to be renowned in the US.

Today the global brand is not only one of the more creative when it comes to makeup, it has several great hair products too.

The last five years, dry shampoos have made a come-back. Gone are the heavy food-like powders in cheap-looking containers, instead we have a wide selection of light, airy powder sprays in luxury cans that remove grease from hair while adding volume and texture.

No wonder all the major hair care brands keep launching new versions.

This Fall sees the launch of a hair powder brush. Following the success of the brush-pen applicator for products like concealer, foundation and even mineral sunscreen, now you can also get your hair powder in this practical kind of package.

With one click you release the powder and then spread in on the roots with brush strokes.

Not only do you get precision application, you get a fresh touch-up of the roots as well as volume. Perfect for top-knot buns, quiffs and Lana Del Rey-inspired down-do’s.

As if that isn’t enough, Shu Uemura Art of Hair has come up with a new formula for the white hair powder so it becomes less visible on darker hair tones. © Cover Media
