We all know of at least one person whom you might call an oddball. You know, the guy who looks so uncomfortable in his own skin that you squirm just watching him stand still. Or that girl who is never quite able to convey how she really feels through her confused, almost pained, facial expressions.
But watch Hollywood’s latest coming-of-age film, The Perks of Being a Wallflower — which just opened yesterday — and you’ll see that there are a select few who make being awkward so endearing. It might be their slightly vacant eyes or their goofy, lopsided grins (which are terribly hard to come by); either way, these cutie-pies and their air of mystery have left us intrigued and wanting more.
