One has the voice of an angel, the other has abs of steel. So what do local singer-songwriter, Olivia Ong, and up-and-coming artiste, Desmond Tan, have in common?
We discovered the answer last night at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia as they were unveiled as the new celebrity ambassadors for the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE and Galaxy Camera.
Speaking on her endorsed product — the Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE — Ong announced that she would be embarking on “The Wonderland” project, where she will be composing an original song titled “Wonderland” and have it made into a music video with the help of the gadget.
She added that penning her inspirations and thoughts down, and interacting with her fans will be a breeze with the Galaxy Note II LTE’s large touchscreen, S pen, and user-friendly functions.
Also sharing his enthusiasm for his endorsed product — the Samsung Galaxy Camera — was Tan, a self-confessed photography buff. The stylish actor demonstrated how easy it was to share pictures from the camera directly onto his Instagram account (@theDesmondTan), and said that he has been exploring the camera’s various features in preparation for his upcoming role as a photographer in Chinese drama, 96 Cafe.
Guests were then treated to a delightful performance by Ong, before adjourning to The Pavilion to try out the latest Samsung products for themselves in a hands-on session.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE will be available at all telcos from Oct 20 and the Samsung Galaxy Camera will be available at all leading consumer electronics stores from November 2012. For more information on Samsung’s newest celebrity ambassadors, visit www.facebook.com/SamsungMobileSingapore.
