Lily Cole Shimmer Cubes retail for $36.90 at all The Body Shop outlets. Review: True to Lily Cole’s inherent style, the colours in this palette are stunningly sweet and dreamy. It has a good combination of light shades – Tint it Pink and Live Lilac – to complement the darker tones, Go Violet and Think Pink. This is a useful quality: when switching from day to night make up, just layer a darker shade on, and you’re ready to roll. The convenient palette is separated into individual cubes, so you can pick and choose what you want to tote around. Application is easy enough, as it glides on rather well. It also stays crease-free for hours. However, I had hoped that the colours would be a tad more vivid and pigmented. Instead, I found myself having to do two or three coats on my lid before I was satisfied with the effect. 3/5 |
