Step away from the tweezers, set aside the hot wax and take a good hard look at your eyebrows.
You won’t be alone if, in an attempt to get the right shape, your brows have become victims of over-maintenance.
And let’s face it, over-plucked, thin and shapeless arches couldn’t be further from the on-trend full brows that have stormed the runways this past few years.
So, what’s the best way to rescue your eyebrows? We caught up with celebrity brow guru Shavata to discover her tips.
What is the best way to approach rescuing over-plucked super-high arched eyebrows?
If you feel like you have over plucked your eyebrows, stop tweezing immediately and let them grow out, filling out any unevenness with a brow pencil. The cycle of hair growth is around 8-13 weeks so it’s best to be patience and prepared to wait a while for them to grow back. Prevention is better than cure and as obvious as it seems, try to avoid over plucking eyebrows at all costs. Hairs don’t always grow back and you can run the risk of permanently losing your most flattering shape. I always recommend visiting a professional, whenever possible. Eyes are the most important feature on your face, so having them perfectly framed with beautiful brows only makes sense
What is the best way to give depth and definition to extremely fair, non-existent brows?
I recommend a tint, as it can really help make the brows appear thicker and fuller. If you’d rather not have a tint, a brow shadow should be an essential addition to your makeup bag. Shadow is best for women who want to colour the fair hair and the skin.
What are the benefits of eyebrow threading - over waxing and plucking?
It is not the treatment that is good or bad, it’s the therapist. I use all three, they all achieve the same result. © Cover Media
